    Job Description

    As a Business Analyst, you will support various business units by analyzing and documenting customer requirements.  This position will work closely with other data professionals and members of the Information Technology department to design and implement data flows across departments and applications. This position may also participate in software evaluation.

    Tasks & Responsibilities

    • Partner with business owners to design business requirements along with projected benefits.
    • Own all assigned projects from inception to implementation.
    • Track the impact of all implemented projects and assess their effectiveness.
    • Investigate data issues found through analysis of reporting.
    • Analyzes data output and recommends changes and enhancements to existing reporting, business, procedures, and business rules.
    • Suggest alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing measurement and data needs.
    • Work with internal teams to determine best practices for processes that impact the customer experience.
    • Participate in product and vendor selections as needed.
    • Understand and help document the various applications and the flow of information between them.

    Essential Skills, Characteristics & Experience

    • Applicants should have experience with database concepts.
    • Strong analysis skills in observing and documenting processes at a detailed level
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to question existing data parameters, definitions, and data flows, then track an issue back to its source.
    • Capable of investigative and analytical research
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Advanced skills in influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution.
    • Facilitates decision-making by communicating across project teams and functional areas.
    • Elicits requirements using interviews, requirements meetings, surveys, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, and workflow analysis.
    • Serves as liaison between the functional project team, the integration/conversion developers, and external third parties.
    • Experience with Tableau, MS Visio or Agile Methodology is a plus
