Senior Account Manager

We are looking for self-motivated and dynamic professionals to join our growing team at Forrest Logistics! As a Senior Account Manager at Forrest Logistics, you will align with our customers to meet their supply chain and logistics needs, adding value as a trusted logistics advisor. You will manage a group of existing accounts to build strong, long-term relationships with key contacts. You will be empowered to manage and grow existing accounts by bringing forth new services while expanding on existing services offered. This is accomplished by focusing on increasing efficiency, adding value, and maximizing profitability through the account’s supply chain. Daily Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Create a personal and professional relationship with every customer contact at multiple levels within customer organizations. Actively seek an understanding of each customer’s requirements, procedures, and goals to maintain customer rapport through genuine and exceptionally responsive daily interactions
  • Oversee successful completion of shipments ensuring all loads are fulfilled to expectations by monitoring and proactively communicating reportable events throughout the load’s lifecycle. Effective and timely communication of events is critical for team members, customers, and carriers
  • Identify and consult with the customer to design solutions, resolve any shipment issues, and solve supply chain challenges. Establish additional business opportunities through solution-based recommendations
  • Understand and execute market objectives through identification of high-quality opportunities to further penetrate accounts by selling Forrest’s diverse portfolio of services
  • Be impactful in achieving team and company objectives by collaborating with account leadership by developing pricing strategies, creating business reviews, and contributing to or leading customer meetings
Essential Skills, Characteristics & Experience
  • Strong ability to establish and manage relationships with varying levels of stakeholders, clients, and carriers
  • Proven analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, prioritize, think creatively and strategically, and problem-solve in the moment
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal, and presentation communication skills. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills as part of a team
  • Solid leadership skills; 3+ years of customer service or operational experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Aptitude for working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment including a strong sense of personal accountability and a winning attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
