Job Description

The Equipment Control Manager is responsible for maintaining, tracking, and ensuring compliance and utilization of assets operated by Forrest Logistics. This role combines operational activity with financial responsibility and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams. The Equipment Control Manager plays a key role in supporting business decisions through data analysis and relationship management with equipment providers, rails, ports, leasing companies, and carriers.

Your Impact

  • Exhibit excellent analytical abilities to support and maintain all equipment activity.
  • Analyze asset usage data to extract meaningful insights and trends for business decision support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with equipment providers, rails, ports, leasing companies, and carriers.
  • Complete financial responsibilities and take ownership of the Equipment General Ledger.
  • Work closely with Account Managers and the Accounting Team to ensure operational success.
  • Review, record, and analyze usage invoices for accuracy and payment approval.
  • Ensure correct charges are billed to customers, paid to carriers, and proper deductions are taken.
  • Monitor and track all equipment out gated under Forrest SCAC.
  • Research and investigate issues with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Develop and implement Excel-based solutions to improve efficiency and data management.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant asset records and tracking.
  • Provide timely and actionable insights from equipment usage data.
  • Ensure financial accuracy in billing, payments, and ledger management.
  • Support operational success through effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Proactively address and resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operations and shared success.
